Bamboo Husk Embroidery

Bamboo Husk Embroidery
Bamboo husk embroidery is a craft technique invented by German architect Bruno Taut, who lived in Takasaki, Gunma prefecture in the 1930s, building the foundations for Japanese craft design. Today, Maejima Yoshie is the only living artisan who practices this technique, a representative Japanese handicraft tradition that deserves more attention.
