The Kumamoto Electric Railway (Kumamoto Denki Tetsudo) is the public transport company in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. It is abbreviated as Kumamoto Dentetsu or Kumaden. The company was founded in 1909. The company operates railway and bus lines. Its railway lines are also called Kikuchi Electric Railway (Kikuchi Densha) among locals, from the former name of the company before 1948.
