Mihashira-sai, May (every 6 years), Suwajinja Shrine, Suwa-shi, Nagano
Mihashira-sai (literally means holy log pole festival): It is celebrated every seventh year. The festival divided into 3 parts. To start with, Eikou (dragging trees out of the woods) is carried out, followed by Konryu (the erection of the great log poles) and finally Gozoei (construction and management) of holy shrines (using the log poles), however the origin of the procedures remains unknown. And once the festival has started, it continues for 2 months.
