Nagasaki embroidery, embroidery technique that was introduced by Asian people where we lived in all over Nagasaki-shi at the about the latter half of 17th century, is said to have taken root in Nagasaki. Characteristic coloring string of the samisen changing feel of a material with thread of various thickness and string of the samisen which we sewed, and putting shading off of the delicate light and shade, "heaping up" to put cotton and twisted-paper string (paper string) under one of embroidery again, and to start three-dimensional impression are what is done.
